Artist's Description
Prince was born at the Oregon Zoo in 1987. At 16 months, when not yet fully weaned Prince was torn from his mother and sold to Ringling Brothers Circus. After 22 years of abuse, Prince was donated to PAWS Sanctuary in San Andreas California. PAWS is a true sanctuary and is located on 2,300 acres of rolling grassland. It is home to formerly abused and exploited animals from the entertainment industry. Any profit from prints of this painting will be donated to PAWS so that they can continue their vital work.
About Ann Radley
I love the mystery and the beauty of all life forms. Look here for original paintings in oil or pastel - portraits, dancers, divinities that exude wisdom and peace..... and wildlife. I'm madly in love with elephants. I often paint to help organizations that rescue and give sanctuary to elephants, tigers, bears and all threatened wildlife. I have been drawing and painting for lots of years. I worked on Wall Street in my late twenties, immersed in business pursuits. On evenings/weekends I studied at the Art Students League drew inspiration from the world class art collections in New York. From New York, I moved to London. I was able to travel throughout Europe and study the work of the masters. I am currently residing in Spring Hill...

I love this, Ann. Elephants, abused and in captivity, are a cause near and dear to my heart. Thank you for liking my Facebook page.
Ann Radley replied:
Thanks a lot Susan. Me too. I've been volunteering with FOZE (free the oregon zoo elephants)....and well what can you say. It is a long process just raising awareness about the issues, a few people at a time it seems.
