Taruni bear is a sloth bear. Sloth bears have been historically exploited in India and used as dancing bears. Wildlife SOS has been instrumental in bringing this cruel practice to an end. She was rescued as a cub by an anti-poaching team of Wildlife SOS. This painting has been donated to help the vital rescue work that Wldlife SOS is doing and was sold in their online auction.
