There are many different aspects to this divine elephant, Lord Ganesha. One is that he is a remover of obstacles. Other qualities that stand out are power and strength. Yet he moves with delicacy and grace. The inspiration for this painting was the exquisite sculpture at this temple in Khajuraho.
I love the mystery and the beauty of all life forms. Look here for original paintings in oil or pastel - portraits, dancers, divinities that exude wisdom and peace..... and wildlife. I'm madly in love with elephants. I often paint to help organizations that rescue and give sanctuary to elephants, tigers, bears and all threatened wildlife. I have been drawing and painting for lots of years. I worked on Wall Street in my late twenties, immersed in business pursuits. On evenings/weekends I studied at the Art Students League drew inspiration from the world class art collections in New York. From New York, I moved to London.
